Communication & Recognition
Agrium is committed to ongoing, interactive communication with our shareholders through a wide variety of means.
Agrium was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2010. We had previously achieved this distinction in 2006 and are very pleased that Agrium has been recognized again. This recognition is sponsored by MacLean’s magazine who partner with Toronto publisher Mediator to bring you the country’s most comprehensive independent study of workplace benefits.
We have also been named one of Alberta’s Top 50 Employers for 2010. This is the fifth consecutive year we have achieved this honor. Companies are awarded this status based on the location of their head office.
The Women’s Executive Network (WXN) named Leslie O’Donoghue, Agrium’s Chief Legal Officer & Senior Vice President, Business Development, to its 2009 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Winners. Recipients of this award are proven achievers in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. The WXN advisory group chooses the honorees based on a selection criteria that includes community service, vision and leadership as well as role model potential.
Leslie was also named Top Deal Maker of the Year at the 2009 Canadian General Counsel Awards. The award is presented to an individual who demonstrates innovation in the transaction and how it affected the structure or outcome of the deal; the overall complexity of the deal; how the individual managed the cross jurisdictional issues where appropriate, and management of both internal and external teams. Leslie has demonstrated these all of these traits with her involvement in a number of transactions over the last five years, including UAP, CMF and Royster-Clark.
