Statement:

In December of 2009, Agrium Wholesale announced it is progressing the expansion of its Vanscoy Potash operations.  Assuming final project approval by late 2010, the mega expansion project team will grow to approximately 70+ Project Management, Construction Management and Functional Business project positions.

Learning and development is an ongoing process for all of us; employee development is no different. You will learn on the job and through a variety of influences including training, professional development and informal mentoring opportunities. Employee Development is a partnership between you and your leader. Together you will identify your strengths as well as your areas for development and determine the appropriate path to take to leverage your strengths and/or close the developmental gaps. To assist you with this, Agrium uses the 70/20/10 Learning & Development Model. This model states that 70 percent of your development will occur on the job, 20 percent happens through feedback and 10 percent from formal education. Employees receive tuition subsidies for courses related to their position. (Agrium can provide up to $3,000 in subsidies).

Employees receive individual performance reviews every 12 months. Our employee development process will help you to identify meaningful developmental goals. For example, employees can use 360-degree feedback tools to help identify their strengths, weaknesses and development opportunities. Understanding your current situation can help you attain your development goals.
