Power Engineers / EITs
The first two years in the Engineer in Training (EIT) program is comprised of a formal program that includes close mentorship by an experienced professional engineer. The formal training allows you increasing levels of responsibility. The scope of your work will increase as well as its economic impact on our operations.
By the end of year four you have explored at least two areas of operations. We believe systematic rotation of engineers from operation to operation develops a new engineer’s technical job skills and knowledge of Agrium’s fertilizer production and business processes. It also helps our more experienced engineers stay fresh and benefit from working with new talent.
All EIT positions are posted at universities across Canada and on the Agrium career page. Positions are posted in September and year-round based on business needs.
How am I compensated?
Engineers in our EIT program are compensated at regular intervals and also receive bonuses based on their performance and contribution to the Company.
