Corporate Social Responsibility Strategies
Our corporate social responsibility strategies are geared toward creating value for our stakeholders while minimizing negative environmental impacts. Some strategies are general and affect much of our business, whereas other strategies are specifically directed at key elements of corporate responsibility.
Stakeholder engagement is at the heart of corporate responsibility. We strive to understand both what our stakeholders value and what they would like to see sustained so we can work together for the right outcomes.![]()
We believe that our strategies to invest across the value chain, diversify geographically, and achieve low wholesale costs benefit not only growers and shareholders, but communities and the environment too.
Management Approach:
The strategic management of corporate responsibility is shared among numerous corporate groups: Environment, Health, Safety and Security, Human Resources, Corporate Relations, Investor Relations and Legal, among others. These groups monitor best practices, develop policies and standards, and support business units. The daily management of sustainability commitments and implementation of programs is guided by business unit leaders.
